Mounting powders are typically used as a raw material to encapsulate sample materials within a mounting press machine (such as JG-150, JG-151, or JG-152).

Encapsulated samples are then subjected to metallographic grinding and polishing (such as JG-160 & JG-161) processes using diamond suspensions of specific particle sizes to deliver superior surface finishes.
